FEAR – Facing It, Not Fleeing From It

Hey Family,

It’s Monday again. And if you're anything like me, you’ve probably had moments where fear tried to take the wheel. I’ve been there—still go there sometimes. Fear of failing, fear of not being enough, fear of being disappointed… again.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

I don’t want that for you. I don’t want that for me either.

That’s why I’m reminding both of us today: we get to choose how we live.
We can either live like life is ours to hoard and protect…
Or we can live like our life is part of something bigger—God’s story, given to us to heal, help, and hold space for others.

Mentally

Ask yourself:
What have I been letting fear stop me from doing?
Is that fear even telling the truth?

Write it down. Then write something back that’s rooted in truth, not survival mode. It doesn’t have to be deep. Just real.

Physically

Fear affects the body too. It sits in your chest, your shoulders, your gut.
Don’t let it build up.

Here’s a simple move I use to shake it off:

• 1 min deep breathing (in through nose, out through mouth)

• 1 min shoulder rolls + head circles

• 2 min jumping jacks or fast-paced walking

• 1 min stretch + prayer — literally tell God: "I’m afraid… but I trust You."

Spiritually

That means fear doesn’t come from God… but strength, love, and clear thinking do. Lean into that.
